Will the design guidelines of the community prevent me from building the type of house I want.

Design guidelines are intended to make sure there is a certain amount of conformity in the community so that homes styles are consistent within an acceptable range. This should not hamper individual expression and is most often composed in a general way addressing the main issues of roof forms, materials used and finishes. These same guidelines protect your investment by assuring that other homes built in the community will also conform to the level of quality and all owners will be proud to live there.
